Here’s how our real estate market became a bit of a mess recently.
The San Antonio real estate market is a bit of a mess right now. Part of this is due to low interest rates, which are keeping demand for homes very strong.
What else is causing this mess? Builders can’t keep up with demand. They’re forced to delay their projects even further because of labor shortages, supply-chain problems, and COVID issues. Every week, builders seem to be short on something like doors, windows, or lumber.
The next generation of homebuyers is out in the market as well, which has increased the buyer pool overall. On top of that, a lot of people are moving here to San Antonio because of the low cost of living and the increased adoption of remote work.
“They’re having to delay projects even further due to labor and supply shortages.”
Home prices may be a bit cheaper here, but brisket prices aren’t. You’ve been warned. If you have any questions for us about the market or anything else related to real estate, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
