Inventory shows us that we’re in a seller’s market, but the interest rates show us that we’re in a buyer’s market. How can it be both?

While homeowners aren’t going to get a deal on price, they will most likely be getting a great one on interest rates. Interest rates are ridiculously low right now and we have been shocked by some of our clients’ monthly payments on their mortgages because of this.

That’s why it’s so crucial now more than ever to find a Realtor who can help you find a house in a competitive, low-inventory market like this. One in five of our sellers are selling off-market because the buyer’s agents we know are so desperate to find homes for their buyers that they aren’t even waiting for them to be listed.

Make sure your agent is going the extra step to find your home, not just using the computer and the MLS. They need to be in touch with the local real estate community, and having a pipeline of “coming soon” houses is a bonus.
