Here are two spooky San Antonio stories for your eerie enjoyment.
If you’re reading this, you’re a VIP past client or a special friend of ours, and we’re inviting you to our Halloween event! It’ll be held on October 21, and we would love to see you there. Check out the RSVP invite below this blog.
Since we’re in the Halloween mood, today we’re not discussing real estate. Instead, we wanted to share spooky San Antonio stories!
This first story is one many San Antonion natives know about, and Evette has been to the location. She was around 16 years old and was participating in driver’s education. One of the times she and her instructor were going driving, he made her go to the south side of San Antonio to experience driving on the train tracks.
“If you place some baby powder on the car, you may see handprints emerge!”
If you don’t know, the story is that in the 1930s or 1940s, a school bus that had children on it stalled on those tracks. They got hit by the train and sadly didn’t make it. One of the neighborhoods nearby has a monument to the event, so you can go visit if you like.
Legend has it that if you place your car in the middle of the tracks, put it in neutral, and place some baby powder on the car, you’ll see handprints emerge. Apparently, the children are there to help because they don’t want anyone else to experience what they did. So if you’re brave enough, we encourage you to try it.
For our next story, you may be familiar with the haunted house called Nightmare on Grayson Street. There’s a large guy with a pumpkin head there. One time Tyler was there with his family, and his sister-in-law was staring at the pumpkin-head guy outside of the house. When she started walking away, he began chasing her, so she ran about two blocks while that huge guy on stilts chased her, and she was screaming the whole time. Freaky!
If you like scary stuff and candy and want to get more use out of your Halloween costume, please come to our Halloween event. If you ever have any real estate-related questions, please call or email us. We would love to help you.
